Description VT Law School Mock Supreme Court with Lebanon High School Students On November 6th, our president, Rod Smolla, oversaw and argued both sides of a mock Supreme Court First Amendment case for more than 50 Lebanon (NH) High School students that he “deputized” as Supreme Court justices. Their government class teacher tells me the students are still talking about how much fun it was to pepper “Counselor Smolla” with questions, getting a better understanding of how fragile and tricky notions of free speech can be.
