ECFiber held a hub lighting ceremony to mark the completion of its goal to link 23 Upper Valley towns with high-speed internet. Board Chair F.X. Flinn called it a "golden spike" moment as when the driving of a final gold spike celebrated connecting east and west coast with railroad service in 1869. ECFiber's years-long project faced financial and other hurdles. It says it can offer world-class internet to remote areas unserved by larger companies.
