Lynx rufus rufus. Better known as the Eastern Bobcat, this elusive 'wildcat' is fairly common in our area. Most active at twilight, it has few natural predators and only rarely attacks humans. Here, stewardship director Jason Berard of the Upper Valley Land Trust finds snowy bobcat tracks. He explains how his group designed the Clay Brook Trail in Lyme to minimize impacts to wildlife.
